CASE STUDY
BT Partnership for NHS Spine
One of our most challenging IT engagements involved working with BT to fulfill the vision of a multi-year NHS Spine programme. Mastek is contracted by BT to deliver a number of critical sub-systems into a highly integrated and complex system.
Some of the key sub-systems that Mastek has already delivered include a transaction system expected to take very high daily loads and two data warehouse systems expected to grow to several hundred terabytes during the course of the contract.
Core business applications need to work seamlessly with each other and with intermediate messaging products, a central data warehouse and several off-the-shelf products. As the large and complex sub-systems are supplied by multiple vendors, one of Mastek's key responsibilities is to enable the integration of these deliverables into this envionment.
